This is a private reference site, not the jail, sheriff, police department, court, or another public office. We cannot confirm custody, authorize release, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the office that holds the information.
Choose the Correct Office
Alamosa County has no public online jail roster or official new-bookings feed. The right contact depends on whether the question concerns present jail custody, a City of Alamosa police record, a court outcome, or a request for law-enforcement response.
Alamosa County Sheriff's Office
1315 17th Street
Alamosa, CO 81101
Main and jail: 719-589-6608
Non-emergency dispatch: 719-589-5807
Posted hours: Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Current county custody: Call the Alamosa County Detention Center at 719-589-6608. The official jail page gives this number to check whether someone is presently in the county jail. It is not a search for old arrests, released people, or court outcomes.
- County booking record or photograph: Send a focused CCJRA request to the Alamosa County Sheriff's Office. Name the person, date range, event or report number if known, and request the booking sheet and photograph separately. The sheriff has no published photo fee sheet in the research.
- Alamosa Police Department record: For an APD incident, arrest report, or APD-held image, use the city's dedicated police records request form. APD's listed non-emergency number is 719-589-2548, and its records hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Court case or disposition: Use the Colorado Judicial Branch case search or call the court line listed by the sheriff at 719-589-4996. The court record, not a booking accusation, shows how a filed case ended.
- Non-emergency response or agency identification: Call regional dispatch at 719-589-5807. This is especially useful for an event near Hooper when the responding agency is not yet known. Call 911 only for an emergency.
- State prison custody: Search the Colorado Department of Corrections offender system for a person serving a state sentence. CDOC is not the source for a new Alamosa County booking.
- Federal or immigration custody: Use the official Federal Bureau of Prisons locator or ICE detainee locator. Neither replaces the county jail custody call.
The Alamosa County booking and custody page explains how these stages differ and how to request a record when a person has already been released.
